We have everything you could possibly need for a yoga class--mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and towels. So if it's your first time to yoga, don't sweat it, we've got you covered. Now, if you find it's something you want to stick with, we encourage clients to purchase their own yoga mats for hygiene reasons. (We clean the mats regularly but still....)
Our space is cozy and compact. Please bring minimal items with you. Ladies, we have cubbies inside the studio to put your purses.
Our weekly yoga classes are 60 minutes long unless otherwise stated on the schedule. Our instructors respect their clients' time, and work hard to start on time and end on time. Please do the same. Check the current schedule for exact times and days of our classes.
We offer multi-class discounts and convenient drop-in rates.
Bring an empty stomach and a silent phone. There's nothing more jarring (and rude!) for a phone to go off while students are seeking their bliss. An empty stomach prevents other rude noises. A good rule of thumb--allow 2-3 hours for digestion prior to practicing.
Wear comfortable, light clothing that allows you to move. Baggy shirts and shorts are not recommended.
Our classes have students of all levels and our teachers always show modifications for more challenging poses. All classes are minimally heated...no frosty rooms but no sweat boxes either. The heat warms muscles and helps them to stretch more and work optimally within a greater range of motion. Over time, this will help build strength and flexibility.
Any new skill requires practice. Once you have the skills, you need to keep them sharp. To reap the best results from your yoga practice, we recommend attending classes 3 times a week.
